MASTERS Lead Coach – Performance | North America

Job Profile: MASTERS Lead Coach, Catalyst Masters Performance Racing Camps

We are seeking a highly experienced and entrepreneurial Head Coach to assume full ownership of our Master’s Performance Ski Racing Camp Program. This is more than a coaching role; it is a leadership opportunity to shape the future of adult race training.

The ideal candidate is a master tactician on the snow and a visionary leader off the snow. You will be responsible for delivering elite-level coaching while simultaneously acting as the chief architect of the overall camp experience. A primary objective of this role is to strategically grow athlete attendance by creating an unparalleled, exciting, and community-focused environment that becomes the gold standard in Masters racing. We are looking for a creative individual who will innovate and introduce unique experiences beyond the gates, ensuring every camp is a memorable adventure.

III. Key Responsibilities

  1. Program Leadership & Coaching Excellence:
  • Design and implement the technical and tactical curriculum for all Masters camps (Slalom, GS, Super G) across various locations (e.g., Saas-Fee, Hintertux, Sun Peaks, Big Sky).
  • Lead the on-snow coaching team, ensuring a consistent, high-quality delivery of instruction and feedback.
  • Personally provide expert coaching and conduct in-depth video analysis sessions for athletes.
  • Manage all on-hill logistics, including lane procurement, course setting, and daily training schedules to ensure a professional and seamless operation.
  1. Program Growth & Athlete Recruitment:
  • Serve as the lead ambassador and public face of the Master’s program.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to increase camp enrollment and athlete retention rates.
  • Actively build and maintain relationships with Master’s ski clubs, race leagues, and key influencers within the adult racing community.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content and campaigns that attract new participants.
  1. Athlete Experience & Innovation:
  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute unique, value-added experiences at each camp location that foster community and excitement.
  • Develop a robust schedule of off-snow activities, which could include expert-led tuning clinics, guest speakers, local cultural excursions, and organized social events.
  • Foster a highly motivating, inclusive, and enjoyable environment where athletes feel supported in achieving their personal best.
  • Implement and manage an athlete feedback system to drive continuous improvement across all facets of the program.
  1. Qualifications & Candidate Profile
  • Required: Minimum 15+ years of high-performance ski racing coaching experience.
  • Required: High level of national coaching certification (e.g., USSA Level 300-400 Minimum, CSCF Performance Level, or international equivalent).
  • Required: Demonstrable experience coaching Master’s athletes and a nuanced understanding of their specific needs.
  • Proven experience organizing and leading ski camps in both European and North American locations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. You are a natural motivator and community builder.
  • A strategic mindset with experience in program marketing, recruitment, or business development is highly desirable.
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing complex logistics in a variety of international settings.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the year.

Please submit your coaching resume, along with a cover letter detailing your coaching philosophy and your vision for developing a world-class Master’s ski racing program in the submit section to the right of this profile.

Important Note: This is a Contract Role

Please note that this is a contract role to start, designed explicitly for our high-performance camps, and is not a full-time position.
