FIS Lead Coach – High Performance | European and South American Camps

We are at a pivotal moment, and we are seeking a world-class High-Performance FIS Lead Coach to lead our European and South American programs. This isn’t just a coaching position; it’s a leadership role with the autonomy to shape the next generation of champions who run through our camps. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and leading all high-performance camps globally, creating an environment that enables our  FIS athletes to thrive.

This is a role for a coach who understands the unique developmental pathways for athletes, who can command respect on and off the hill, and who is ready to leave an indelible mark on the future of ski racing.

Core Responsibilities: The Heart of the Role

As the lead for our global camps, you will be entrusted with the following:

  • On-Snow Leadership & Technical Excellence:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive, periodized on-snow training plan for all European and South American camps, focusing on the acquisition of advanced technical and tactical skills in Slalom, Giant Slalom, and Super G/Downhill.
    • Lead daily on-snow sessions, providing expert feedback and individualized coaching to a roster of elite FIS-level athletes.
    • Foster a high-energy, high-accountability training environment that is both demanding and supportive.
    • Utilize modern coaching tools, such as video analysis, to provide clear and actionable feedback.
  • Program Development & Management:
    • Spearhead the design and logistical planning of all global training camps, from location scouting and booking to daily scheduling and budget management.
    • Collaborate with our national team (U14/U16 Lead Coaches) staff to ensure alignment with our overarching high-performance strategy and athlete pathways.
    • Oversee all aspects of camp life, ensuring a professional and athlete-centric environment that prioritizes safety, nutrition, and recovery.
  • Mentorship & Athlete Development:
    • Serve as a primary mentor for the athletes under your charge, guiding them not only in their athletic pursuits but also in their personal growth as young adults in a demanding sport.
    • Cultivate a strong and positive team culture built on respect, hard work, and a shared commitment to excellence.
    • Provide regular, constructive feedback to athletes on their progress, helping them to set and achieve ambitious goals.

Suppose you are a coach leader who is ready to take on this challenge and shape the future of ski racing. In that case, I encourage you to submit your resume and a detailed cover letter outlining your coaching philosophy and relevant experience.
